Have you noticed Some Changes?

I have made a change to our business name to make it easier for you, our loyal customers to remember and recognise our brand. I have officially changed the name of the business from Gourmet Outfitters to ‘The chilli chick shop’ to more align with the brand The Chilli Chick.

Thats all that has changed…same great products just a new name.

Sawtell Chilli Festival was an amazing and super busy event for the beginning of July. If you haven’t been before its worth a visit and Sawtell is a beautiful seaside town. Congratulations to Jeni on winning our hamper on the day.

Our A LITTLE BIT JAMMY, Pear chilli and saffron has been extremely popular and as of time writing this we only have about 20 jars left until the new season Sugar rush peach chilli will be available, probably early October.

August is jam packed with markets and the Murwillumbah Banana Festival at the end of the month. See events dates below.

A Little Bit Jammy

Thanks to one of our loyal customers Bev Ward for sending in this awesome serving suggestion for our Pear Chilli and saffron Jam. Pictured cocoa almond milk pancakes fresh fruit, greek yogurt and topped with A Little Bit Jammy. Looks delicious.

Cudgen sweet potato!

Cudgen, just west of Kingscliff and just south of the Queensland border in lovely Northern rivers NSW is where The chilli chick head quarters is. Known for its fertile farming land, Cudgen produces loads of sweet potato and corn among other amazing produce. So I had to produce a chilli sauce based on our humble but beautiful local sweet potato. Purchased from local farm Mate and Matts, they also stock our products at there wonderful farm store.

Loaded with red habanero chilli this sauce really is different, and definitely HOT.

This sauce is great with seafood, mexican, chicken or mixed with mayonnaise for a spicy seafood sauce. I even mix it through homemade coleslaw with mayonnaise and fresh coriander for a fresh take on an old favorite.
