Well I don’t like putting my photo out there but here we go.
My name is Liesl and I am the founder of The Chilli Chick Shop.
I worked as a #chef for many years in many different capacities. I completed my apprenticeship at the newly opened Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast back in the 90’s then spread my wings working in restaurants, the Brisbane convention center and then headed to Canada.
I lived and worked there for 7 years. I was head chef at a lovely arty bistro named Zonas and then worked for a mountaineering company packing food for skiing, hiking and climbing expeditions. Even catering to ski trips in back country huts in the Canadian Rockies. I returned home in 2005 and decided to diversify a bit.
I worked in training and product development (all in the food industry) and then even worked for Miele Australia as home economist delivering classes to new appliance owners. During the years back in Australia my now Husband and I enjoyed gardening and learning to grow our own vegetable and yes chilli plants.
I dabbled in making #chilli #sauces and #relishes for friends and family. The loved it! A few years passed and at the end of 2017 I decided to launch my “The Chilli Chick” range. My #passion for delivering a product that is bold in #flavour and #textures is what makes this range in my opinion. All the products are very different from what you can currently get in the marketplace. I use only #local and #Australian produce where possible and I strive to deliver a product that has no nasty numbers, artificial preservatives and is #glutenfriendly.
